Lightboxes and Lettering was a project exploring the social history of the printing industry in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Clerkenwell in the 20th century. The book is fully illustrated with maps, photographs, printed matter and includes oral history extracts, interviews and historical information.
The book is a limited edition of 500, 80 pages in full colour with a fold-out map of printing companies in east London in 1985. Designed by Sandra Zellmer and printed at Aldgate Press.
